8TH Annual Winter Art & Photography Show Competition
This year's theme, Architectural Florida, invites artists to explore the rich tapestry of Florida's diverse architectural landscape. From iconic landmarks to forgotten gems, from historic ruins to futuristic designs, this exhibit celebrates the beauty and creativity embedded in the state's architectural history. Whether it's the timeless elegance of Spanish Revival or the cutting-edge structures of today, the exhibit showcases the full spectrum of architectural inspiration found across Florida.
We are thrilled to see artists push the boundaries of their craft, offering innovative interpretations of both well-known and hidden architectural wonders. The exhibit offers a chance to reflect on the past, present, and future of Florida's buildings, all while challenging conventional perspectives.
Join us for an unforgettable evening on February 28th from 5-8 pm as we come together to honor artistic excellence at the Patricia Maxcy Willson Memorial Awards Reception. This special event will celebrate the outstanding achievements of artists who have contributed to the exhibit, offering a chance to connect with the creative minds behind these stunning works and to pay tribute to the dynamic and evolving architectural scene in Florida. Florida Wildflower Studios will feature the Art of Encaustic Artist Francine Michel from St Petersburg, Florida. Francine is a member of the Florida Wax Community. Encaustic is a unique painting process involving the use of rice paper, ink, encaustic wax and watercolor. Francine creates abstract paintings based on observations of the natural world using unexpected color, shapes and perspectives. Join us for a Meet and Greet Reception Friday March 28, 5pm. GIRLS SUMMER ART for grade 6-12th. June,10-13, 1-4pm. All four days, $35-member, $40 nonmember.
