TUESDAYS DRAWING WITH LYLE

$5/$10

10-noon. $5-member, $10 nonmember.  Learn the foundations of drawing with guidance from Lyle as he covers essential skills like perspective, proportion, shadows, and form. It’s a great class for building confidence and strengthening your technique, no matter your experience level. Drawing paper and pencils are provided. This is a chance to sharpen your skills through focused, self-motivated study alongside other like-minded artists. 


MEMBERS’ OPEN ART STUDIO

Every Wednesday, Adults 9-3pm, Youth ages 10 & up, 3-5pm. 

Bring your ideas and something to work on. Members are welcome to use FWS paints and brushes.

FISHY FISHY: Sculpture

FLORIDA BIRDS ON MINIATURE CANVAS

with Sharon, Monday, March 30, 1-4pm, $40-member, $50 nonmember.  Florida abounds with amazing tropical birds and North American birds.  Choosing your favorite for your new miniature painting will be difficult, however you’ll learn the guidelines that will make your miniature painting on a 4” x 4” canvas board a treasure.

ALCOHOL INKS ON TILES

with Sharon, Monday, April 6, 1-4pm, $40-member, $50 nonmember. Learn how to use alcohol ink on ceramic tiles. Techniques for abstract coasters, easel art, and wall art.  You’ll make a set of four {4} coasters (4” x 4”), one (1) 3.75” x 7.75” easel table art, and or one large square wall art piece. 

SLAB-BUILT POTTERY

Slab-Built Pottery with Penny, Tuesdays, April 7, 14, 21, & 28. Starts at 1pm. 

Learn how to hand-build a clay vessel with your hands, simple tools, and a slab of clay. All materials provided. Pre-pay, no refunds. Limited Seating. 




COASTERS AND WINE GLASS CHARM

with Angel Agel, Thursday, April 9, 1-3pm, $30-member, $35 nonmember. You'll decoupage 2 wood coasters with nautical themed designs and seal with resin. A stylish combination of shell and beads create beautiful wine glass charms.

DRIED FLOWERS

with Jacque, Friday, April 10, 1-3pm, $30-member, $35 nonmember.  We’ll dry flowers together to create a framed floral artwork. Feel free to bring your own fresh wildflowers or use the ones we provide. Each participant will also make a bookmark and a card. 

WATERCOLOR: Painting Negative Space

with special guest: Laurie, Saturday, April 11, 10am-1pm, $35-member, $45 nonmember.   This workshop invites students to shift how they see and paint—focusing not on the object, but on the shapes, light, and atmosphere that surround it. Using layered washes and preserved light, participants will create luminous abstract and semi-abstract watercolor compositions where form emerges from negative space. The process emphasizes observation, mindfulness, and trusting the natural flow of watercolor.  

Pressed Flower Book Workshop

Learn how to create your own pressed flower book—a beautiful, portable way to collect and preserve nature’s treasures. These carry-along books are perfect for slipping into your purse or keeping in your car, so you’re always ready to gather flowers while exploring. 

MANDALA SHELL ART

with Angel Agel, Thursday April 16, 1-4pm. $60-member, $65 nonmember. Create a beautiful mandala style creation with a variety of shells.

HOW DO I USE A PALETTE KNIFE

$40/$50

with Sharon, Monday, April 27, 1-4pm $40-member, $50 nonmember. Can I use a palette knife for more than mixing paint? The answer is absolutely.  In fact, in this class you will create an acrylic paint artwork using only palette knives on an 11” x 14” stretched canvas.  No brushes allowed. Develop the skill to use your palette knives for backgrounds, midgrounds, and foregrounds. 

IS THE FLORIDA SWAMP HOUSE MOVE IN READY?

with Sharon, Monday, May 4, 1-4pm, $40-member, $50 nonmember. Learn to create the mood, ambiance, and magic of a Florida swamp house.  Surrounded by cypress trees, lush vegetation, Spanish moss and an alligator or two, you’ll enjoy creating the perfect Florida abode, accessible by boat, of course. Acrylic paint on a 10” x 20” stretched canvas. 

TELLING A STORY

Miniature Landscape Art with Sharon, Monday, May 11, 1-4pm, $40-member, $50 nonmember.  Even a small painting can tell a big story. Elegant, rustic, calm or teaming with energy, your miniature will speak over 1,000 words. Acrylics on canvas board.

SUMMER GIRLS CAMP

$40/$50

June 15-19, 2026, 10:00am-2:00pm, For Girls, 6th-12th Grade, $40 members, $50  nonmember. Our popular summer GIRLS Art Camp returns with the ocean-inspired theme! Students will explore creativity through fun, hands-on art projects celebrating sea shores and sea life in a supportive and inspiring environment.
